Steph Curry Got Ejected For Throwing His Mouthpiece Last Night

Last night, the Warriors hosted the Grizzlies and Steph Curry had a moment. It's rare to see Steph lose his composure - typically it's his teammate, Draymond Green, that's on the receiving end of technicals. The Warriors are struggling a bit, last night's win got them back to .500 so it's understandable that Steph might be a tad frustrated in general. Up 2 with 1:14 left, Steph was less than thrilled with Jordan Poole's shot selection and had a mini-episode as he got back on defense. Nothing to see here, just a little frustration boiling over and resulting in a mouthpiece being launched into the seats. It wasn't directed at anyone in particular and he didn't appear to say anything to the officials, but he got a technical and only his third ever ejection regardless. Extremely soft by the ref, especially in the last minute of the game, but the Warriors eventually got the win so all's well that ends well.

What's funny is that Jordan Poole ended up being the key factor in them actually securing the win making the game-winning layup. After the game, Jordan Poole had a little fun with Steph in the tunnel:

Steph catching him as soon as he left the court tells me he smoothed it over quickly and a win definitely helps things. Who knows what this Warriors team is going to look like in a few months. We all know they can go on historic runs, and Steph is still the best shooter in the league so I'm hesitant to rule them out even with their recent struggles. Whoever was on the receiving end of Steph's mouthpiece last night took home a very weird, slimy souvenir.
