Patrick Reed Lost A Lawsuit In The Most Hilarious Way

It's not breaking news that the golf world has been fractured since LIV Golf's inception.

Here's some news that everyone can come together and enjoy: Patrick Reed has gone and shot himself in the pecker.

In August of 2018, Patrick Reed sued Brandel Chamblee and the Golf Channel for defamation. You know Patrick Reed, the one accused of stealing his teammates' belongings at Georgia? Which landed him at Augusta State where he served a suspension for cheating during a tournament. The one whose history overshadows the actual strength of his game? The one that's estranged from his family and openly disliked by almost everyone except maybe his wife? Yeah, that's the one.

Well, Patrick Reed got his feelings hurt. He sued... pretty much everyone, I guess. Brandel Chamblee, Eamon Lynch, Shane Ryan, Gannett, Golfweek (the magazine) you name it. He wanted $750 million for more or less not being nice to him about joining LIV. Reed said they were smearing his sterling reputation with slander, personal attacks, all that stuff. Or maybe it was because they didn't deny the allegations that were unearthed from every stop of his illustrious history of shitheadery. I don't really remember. The lawsuit was bogus from the jump, his attorney is a certified quack, and the dollar amount he was seeking was laughable. None of that stopped him and he went ahead with the totally legitimate lawsuit.

This past week, we finally have closure. A judge dismissed the lawsuit. In addition to that, Patrick Reed has to pay the defendants' legal fees for being subjected to his bullshit. A judge is actually charging Patrick Reed for filing a nonsensical suit, suing for a ridiculous number, and wasting everyone's time.

There's losing a case, then there's this. When you take a step back, it's not like Patrick Reed cares anymore at this point. He's got plenty of money now that he's a part of LIV and I guess he realizes that nobody likes him anyway, might as well go full heel. If you want a good laugh go look at the track record for his lawyer, Larry Klayman. When I said he's a quack, that might've been an understatement. The dude sued his mom one time. Not to mention this whole case was a colossal failure. I’m starting to think Larry Klayman is just bad at this whole “practicing law” thing.

I can't wipe the smile off my face over this news. Just a hilarious ending to a psychotic lawsuit to begin with.
