Mike Gundy Is A Grade-A Asshole

Does Mike Gundy, a football coach, think he’s above answering questions from the media? I’m confused on this.

It’s pretty ironic when he tells the reporter not to mess with someone else’s family but then threatens to pull his media credentials and have him "cut out" as if that won’t directly affect that person’s livelihood. Keep in mind Mike Gundy just got a raise and makes just north of $7 million dollars a year. On top of it all, it also makes him look like a colossal dork when he’s so defensive about everything when he has a stupid haircut, but that's neither here nor there. Gundy talking down to a reporter won't result in any type of apology because Oklahoma State is irrelevant, and they have Mike Gundy to thank for that. He's a legacy at Oklahoma State and they just extended him so I guess buckle up for several more years of this nonsense. Sorry you lost to a booty Wisconsin team, that doesn’t mean you gotta shit on everyone any time you’re asked rational questions.

This is the same guy that famously went berserk on the Oklahoma State reporters 15 years ago in the epic “I’m a man, I’m 40!” rant. He’s becoming known more for his standoffish press conference shit than meaningful wins and the 2007 blowup is the primary reason people know who he even is. It's like when Dustin Diamond played Screech, that was all he was ever going to be known for after that. The same logic applies with Gundy - he'll always be the "I'm a man, I'm 40!" guy. Might as well go ahead and carve that onto his headstone.

It might just be time to hold this clown accountable. In 17 years as Oklahoma State’s head coach, he’s logged just one Big 12 championship and that was in 2011. His resume is officially peppered with more dumb controversies than it is championships and the assholery seems to outweigh the benefits at this point. It’s been a full decade plus since he’s done anything that affords him the opportunity to treat people like inferior human beings. It’d be different if the reporter actually was being “an ass”, but they were just asking a valid question.
