43-Year-Old Lucas Glover Overcame Severe Swamp Ass En Route To A Second Straight PGA Tour Win

At 43, Lucas Glover probably didn't envision himself winning back-to-back PGA Tour events. Good thing he pulled it off, because all anyone could talk about down the stretch was his sweaty ass.

After winning the Wyndham Championship last week, he stayed hot (literally) by winning the St. Judes Championship, the first leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. He was ranked 49th in the official standings as of last week and now sits behind Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and Scottie Scheffler at 4th overall. It's been an insane two week run for Glover and the Ryder Cup rumbles are suddenly louder (it should still be Justin Thomas).

Up until 2021 when he won the John Deere Classic, Lucas Glover went 10 years in between wins on the PGA Tour. Good for him on the resurgence, but if he's gonna be thrust into the spotlight again winning tournaments and outgunning younger guys, he's gonna need to find some sweat-wicking pants. Anyone that golfs in any capacity during the summer months knows the struggle when it's hot. Hell, I play in shorts and I still generate steam heat to the point where my shorts become visibly sweaty if I'm not wearing the right material. Thankfully, I'm not on TV and any occasional swampiness isn't out there for the world to see.

It was almost a tough scene for Lucas. All is forgiven because he did win and luckily his sopping wet butt pants are secondary to that. But every droplet of sweat that pooled in his lower back and down into his crack was on full display. Dudes be sweatin', Linksoul should know that. Linksoul is his clothing sponsor and I've known them to be a generally good golf brand so I won't publicly besmirch them but what the hell, guys? This was as bad as I can remember seeing and those pants failed the test. Scrap that design and start over.

There's only one man on record whose pants have accrued more sweat from his ass than Lucas Glover's did this week: Chris Berman.

Undoubtedly one of the GOATs as a sports broadcaster and personality. Also the King of Swass and it's not even close.

I'm not sure there's a single sweatier individual on the planet.

Again, good for Lucas Glover. I have no idea how he holds up as the playoffs unfold but he's guaranteed himself a spot in the conversation and a couple comforting paychecks at the very least. Momentum and confidence are funny things in golf and he's clearly still got the ability so it should be interesting to see. If you'll recall, Jim Furyk won the FedEx Cup in 2010 when he was 40 years old, so it can be done. Whatever happens, I hope and pray Linksoul works with Lucas Glover to formulate some pants to better handle the heat.
